Youth Art Classes on Marco

Marco Island Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the classes for the Summer Art Youth Programs. These classes will emphasize imagination and creativity through development of artistic skills. They will help build confidence and critical thinking skills while being fun. The instructors are teaching professionals and artists with diverse backgrounds in the arts. The Marco Island Shell Club will also be teaching a three-day class on Shell Art.

Instructor Jennifer Norqual has worked as a graphic designer, an art teacher and opened up her own art school in Minnesota. She has a business in Tin City called Docks by Jen where she also teaches children’s art programs.



Rebecca Ferguson is an exceptionally accomplished ceramicist and has taught classes for the Art Center’s Young Artist Academy.

Michael Grandi is an art educator at Seacrest Country Day School, as well as a practicing artist.

The Youth Art Classes is a summer must do! The following are the offered classes: Mixed Media Art – Ages 6-13, June 18-22 or June 25-29, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM, $105, Instructor Jennifer Norqual What Can You Do with Clay – Ages 7-14, June 25-29 or July 16-20, 1-4 PM, $115, Instructor Rebecca Ferguson Create and Design with Anything – Ages 7-13, July 9-13, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM, $105, Instructor Michael Grandi Crazy Face – Ages 7-13, July 16-20, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM, $105, Instructor Michael Grandi Doodling 101 – Ages 7-13, July 23-27, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM, $105, Instructor Michael Grandi The following is a special three-day workshop for youth by the Marco Island Shell Club: Shell Art – Ages 7-14, June 20, 21 and 22, 1-4 PM, $70, Instructor Artists from the Shell Club

The Summer Musical

Interludes Series for

May – July 2018! All concerts run from 5:30-

7 PM. May 17th brings the Alex Weitz Jazz Ensemble, direct from Miami, to the Art Center. Enjoy a musical cabaret evening with Abby Yetter on June 14th. Jazz returns on July 18th with the Brennen Yetter Jazz Trio bringing a fresh take to an old art form.
