Marco Presbyterian Church kicks off their Women’s Winter Bible Study with a seminar and luncheon on Jan. 9. Registration for “How God uses the Threads of your Life” seminar begins at 9 a.m. Keynote speaker and missionary Helen Claassen wondered, “What now God?” after the death of her husband in 2009. She will share how God used the threads of her life to make himself known.

Claasen will also introduce the Fig Leaf Boutique; a mission in Fort Myers that brings the hope of Jesus to sexually exploited and trafficked women in SW Florida. The boutique provides an opportunity for the women to learn job, people and business skills as well as financial literacy in a safe working environment.

The Women’s Winter Bible Study, featuring Jennie Allen’s “Restless” begins 9:30 a.m., Jan. 16 and will continue every Friday until March 3. The study explores how God wants to take the seemingly mundane, messy threads of our lives to weave something beautiful. The study includes eight video sessions with seven weeks of print study.

The cost for the seminar and lunch is $20, and $15 for the Bible study, or $30 for both.

The church is located at 875 West Elkcam Circle, Marco Island. For advance registration email: For information go to
