Wind Tide

If you’re a visitor to Marco Island and want to bring home a t-shirt or sweatshirt home from your stay in paradise, for yourself or a friend, stop by Wind Tide in Marco Town Center. The store, named after the owners’ two golden retrievers, Windy and Tide, is a quality resort apparel shop owned by Shannon and Bill Diller.

The Diller’s are not new to the business as they own two other Wind Tide shops.   The Wind Tide in Emerald Isle, North Carolina, the Diller’s have owned for nine years. Another store in Beaufort, North Carolina, for eight years. “Our locations in North Carolina are seasonal, so we looked to find another location where the season would alternate with up there. We thought about Hawaii, but when we found Marco, we knew right away, this was it!” says Shannon. The store is now in its third year.

“We are more than t-shirts and sweatshirts…. Wind Tide features quality resort apparel. Our customers sometimes say it is like American Eagle or Hollister at the beach. About 80% of our clientele are repeat customers. We are so

thankful for once someone shops here they keep coming back. Many shoppers come by referral. People tell their family and friends to come!We have a great selection in a variety of colors and graphics. We expect quality merchandise in all the lines we carry. Our motto is ‘Come feel the difference!’”

CBN_A23-6Wind Tide also carries dresses, tunics, beach cover-ups and ladies fashionable casual and dressy flip-flops as well as a unique line of purses and beach bags made from yoga mats.

As for the retrievers, Windy continues to serve as the store’s mascot. Tide passed away this past winter after an illness that required constant care from family. “Our time has been divided between family and the three stores, but we are anxious to see each of our customers again. So, be sure to stop in and say hello!”

The store, in Marco Town Center at 1035 N. Collier, is across from Marco Island Brewery and three doors down from Crazy Flamingo. Wind Tide is open seven days a week and into the evening during season. Call them at 239-394-9463.
