Make-A-Wish staff and volunteers invite businesses, co-workers, classmates, schools, hospitals and individuals to think like wish child and dream of their own heartfelt wish, then dress accordingly to participate in “Wear Your WishWednesday.”
There are four categories participants can use as inspiration: I wish to be; I wish to go; I wish to have; and I wish to meet.
To join in the fun, participants are asked to post a photo of themselves on social media using the hashtag#WearYourWish. Dreaming big and being creative will help the campaign to be more successful along with a suggested minimum donation of five dollars. Donations will help grant future wishes and may be made online .
Proceeds from this event will help ensure that every medically-eligible child receives a wish which offers a much-needed retreat from doctors and hospitals, helping them focus on just being a kid again.
