Collier County government is seeking individuals to take part in citizen focus groups that will be held during the month of April. The focus group sessions are intended to gain insight and solicit suggestions from the public on how service quality should be measured and reported in the county’s effort to develop citizen-endorsed performance measures.
Service areas that will be discussed at the focus group sessions include EMS, roads, libraries, beaches, Collier Area Transit, storm water drainage, code enforcement, parks and recreation, waste collection and disposal, building development and inspections, water, wastewater and others of interest.
“We are looking for people from all areas of the community – especially those individuals who have an interest in county government efficiency and transparency and want to assist us as we develop new and better ways to measure and report on service quality,” said Winona Stone, Corporate Planning and Performance Improvement.
The focus groups will be held during the month of April at seven different locations. Participants will be notified of the site location and date after confirmation of registration. Due to the size of the facilities and the nature of the focus groups, participation is limited to approximately 15-20 individuals per session.
