Think & Act Creatively at the Digital Media Lab

Marco Island Center for the Arts formally introduced the Digital Media Lab to its forward thinking Founding Donors at the “Bits and Bytes” reception hosted by the Art Center and organized by event chair Charlane King.

Classes held in the Digital Media Lab will allow adults and youth to “imagine creatively, reason systematically, work collaboratively and learn continuously.” The lab will help prepare students for the rapidly-changing digital era. In the lab are six computer stations loaded with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. The Art Center’s wish list for the lab includes scanners, a 3-D printer, drawing tablets and software. A full curriculum for the Digital Media Lab is currently being developed.

Pilot workshops will be introduced this season. Instructors interested in offering workshops should contact Christina Shutter at 239-394-4221 or
