The Lennon Sisters to Perform at Marco Lutheran

In 1955 four very young little girls, Dianne, Peggy, Kathy and Janet Lennon, walked on to the stage at ABC Studios in Hollywood, California and sang their way into America’s hearts. Their first Christmas appearance on The Lawrence Welk Television Show welcomed them into millions of homes across America, where they literally grew up in front of their audience every Saturday for 13 years.

That showcase was the beginning of a career, which would see them star in their own ABC Television Series, sing for seven US Presidents and perform with nearly every major star in Hollywood.

The Lennon Sisters recorded over 400 songs and have sold millions of recordings. They graced the covers of hundreds of magazines, endorsed numerous products from Maytag washers & dryers to Kellogg cereal. Scores of young girls collected Lennon Sisters Paper Dolls, coloring books, novelettes, and other products with likenesses of “America’s Sweethearts of Song.”

They published their memoir “Same Song Separate Voices,” which was the basis of their recent PBS Special by the same name.
The iconic Lennon Sisters were awarded their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and were inducted into the National Vocal Group Hall of Fame.

Younger sister Mimi joined Kathy and Janet in 1999. The three Lennon Sisters once again appeared in the award-winning Spectacular Christmas Show, at The Andy Williams Performing Art Center, presented by Jimmy Osmond, celebrating their 25th year in Branson, Missouri.

The Lennon Sisters bring their gift of music to theatres, for a performance filled with their unmistakable harmonies, video highlights of their fabulous career, stories that will bring some laughs and some tears, medleys from the past and present, tributes to great performers, especially their dear friend Andy Williams, and so much more…

The Lennon Sisters are performing in their only Southwest Florida appearance on Sunday, March 3 for two shows at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM in the performance center at Marco Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier Blvd, Marco Island. The Artist Series, now in its 21st year, continues to bring the best value in live entertainment to Marco Island. All tickets for these shows are only $40.
