Physicians Regional Healthcare System has the honor to actively support programs that facilitate the sustainability of our economic development. Though we collectively depend on those who visit each year, it is the permanent residents who ultimately share the responsibility to keep our community relevant for year-round and seasonal residents.
With the close proximity of our Collier Boulevard Hospital to Marco, Goodland, Isles of Capri, and vicinity, I have had the opportunity to better understand the medical needs of these communities. As recently reported, we are proud to announce the formal extension of our medical services onto Marco Island. The architectural plans are in their final stages of development and we look forward to this facility providing walk-in care and offices for primary care and other specialists.
Future growth of a community like Marco comes at a price—a cost not always measured by a corporation or even an individual’s ability to write a check. A cost that is ultimately paid through the commitment of its citizens working together, sharing ideas, volunteering time, and supporting one another. Over the years, Physicians Regional physicians and associates have committed to causes such as Relay for Life, the Marco Island Seafood Festival, the Iberia Bank Lecture Series, and many more.
While the heartbeat of our community may be local business, it is the individual contributions of time, talent and energy that insure a prosperous future for all. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve with the Marco Rotary and YMCA Board and pledge my support, and that of our staff, to enhancing the quality of life on Marco.
