South Seas Club offers everything people are looking for on Marco Island including prime location, desirability, popular two bedroom, two bathroom condos, gated entrance and acres of green space with rambling walkways and benches. This extensive park-like setting features native to Florida plantings. The complex is rich in amenities including boat docks, Marco’s famous crescent beach, pools, clay tennis courts, pickle ball, bocce, kayaking, fishing and a great social calendar.
Last week 166 popular two bedroom, two bathroom condos were listed for sale on the island. 54 of them were located in South Seas Club. These South Seas condos range in price from $349,000 to $735,000 and have between 964 square feet and 1,173 square feet of air conditioned living space. They are available in four high rise buildings on the beach, several mid-rise buildings, and dozensof garden apartments. South Seas Club is well managed and has ample reserves. Condo fees range from $464 per month to $565 per month.
Some of these condos can be rented weekly and some are rented monthly. Monthly seasonal rentals on the beach go for $6,500 to $7,500 and weekly rentals go for $1,800 to $2,200.
All together there are 1,276 condos at this location in four separate condo associations. The South Seas Club is unique and desirable because residents have access to the beach as well as an opportunity to rent one of the 136 docks on Clam Bay. The docks and seawalls were all replaced in 2006. The docks accommodate boats from 20 feet to 40 feet. Boat docks can be leased short term, seasonally or year round. Access to the Gulf is water indirect, which means that there is abridge to go under on the way to the Gulf. Kayak storage is available on the property.
Social events at South Seas East, one of the four associations in South Seas Club, include coffee and donut gatherings every two weeks at their large chickee hut overlooking Clam Bay. More than 100 neighbors show up for this fun, networking event. The sold out social calendar starts in the fall with an appetizer get together, a Thanksgiving dinner, and a Christmas party with lighting ceremony and sing along. The season includes a New Year’s lunch, western night, Superbowl party, pasta night, Motown theme party, ball game theme party, Easter brunch and an annual bake sale to help raise funds for the social committee. Not only do the residents enjoy all these activities, but they also collect and make charitable donations to organizations like St. Matthew’s House and others.
