Simply Pearls invites you for an elegant evening October 29, 2015 at 6:30 PM at St. Mark’s Church, 1101 N. Collier Blvd., Marco Island. Come sip a glass of wine while viewing precious pearl jewelry and accessories. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to the Marco Island office of the American Cancer Society, specifically for breast cancer support and research.
Marco Island resident Susan Schiller started her business “Simply Pearls” after receiving many compliments on a simple black pearl necklace she wore while working at a retail store. Conversations with customers about the beauty of pearls inspired her to sell her own line of pearl jewelry.
Through Simply Pearls, Susan has met several women who are breast cancer survivors. One such survivor, Marco Island resident Maureen Chodaba, has written a true short story, an almost magical tale of a unique meeting with another breast cancer survivor simply because of a black pearl necklace purchased from Simply Pearls. Her story, simply titled “Black Pearl” is displayed at all Simply Pearls events. At the gala, Chodaba will personally read her story and share her breast cancer experience with those who attend.
Susan Schiller and Simply Pearls look forward to having you as their guest. They especially wish to thank St. Mark’s Church for donating their space to them for this fabulous community event.
