Collier County Public Library is promoting library card sign-up month with the slogan “The Smartest Card: Get It, Use It, @ Your Library!” A library card is the smartest card for many reasons; like, for the access it provides to a wide spectrum of reliable information resources, and for the value it provides to every cardholder. Customers can borrow rather than buy books and movies, download audio books, and take advantage of a wide variety of programs and events for every age group. That makes their library card a most valuable asset.

Nearly two dozen community businesses are collaborating with Collier County Public Library to make a library card even more valuable during the month of September. Anyone showing their library card at any of the following businesses through the month of September will receive a special offer.

Abbot’s Frozen Custard • Ben & Jerry’s Homemade Ice Cream • California Pizza Kitchen  • Cold Stone Creamery at the Esplanade • Florida Olive Oil Company • Foxboro Sports Tavern • French American Bistro  • Habitat for Humanity • Jade Orchids • King Richards Family Fun Park • Make A Memory • Menchie’s • Miller’s Ale House • Monkey Bread Factory • Naples Flatbread • Regina’s Ice Cream Pavilion • Sam Snead’s Tavern • Senor Tequila’s Mexican Grill • Simply Cupcakes of Naples • Stage 62 Delicatessen • TGI Friday’s  • Wynn’s Market

Stop in at any of the 10 library locations throughout Collier County and pick up a Passport to Savings. The passport has the businesses name, address, phone number, and the special being offered to library cardholders. For more details, log onto the library website at
