On Saturday, February 20, 2021, at 7:30 PM, the Jewish Congregation of Marco Island will present Dr. David Langer in a complimentary Zoom event. The chair of neurosurgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Langer played an important role in the care of COVID-19 patients in New York City. This is the second event in the Synagogue’s Cultural Series, now in its 27th year.

Dr. Langer is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert in cerebral revascularization and cerebral aneurysms. When government leaders suspended elective surgery in NYC, Dr. Langer turned to study the COVID-19 crisis and become a leader in caring for patients. In Saturday’s program, he will discuss the path he took to becoming involved in Javits Center (now open as a COVID-19 vaccination center) and converting Lenox Hill to meet the needs of the many suffering COVID-19 patients. Following the presentation there will be a question-and-answer period.

There is no charge to attend the Zoom presentation, however, you must pre-register by 1:00 PM Friday, February 19th in order to receive the Zoom ID and password. Call JCMI at 239-642-0800 or email us at
