Guadalupe Center in Immokalee was one of 24 Florida non-profits to receive funds from its Publix Supermarket’s 2015 Food for All holiday season campaign. The annual event distributes funds to support programs that fight hunger and advocate for self-sufficiency on a local and regional level. Guadalupe Center, which feeds students breakfast, lunch and a snack each day totaling over 16,000 meals a month, received $27,500 in a recent presentation in Lakeland.

The Guadalupe Center has been serving the children and families of Immokalee for over 30 years with the mission of breaking the cycle of poverty through education for the children of Immokalee. This non-profit, privately-funded organization makes life-changing differences in all aspects of children’s lives; from the very young who participate in Early Childhood Education, to school-age children enrolled in After-School Tutoring, and the college-prep that high school students receive in the Tutor Corps Program.
