Gerry Rosenblum was installed as President for 2013 of the Marco Island Area Association of Realtors. In his acceptance speech Gerry reminded Realtors that the real estate market in the Marco Island area continues to show positive signs of recovery and that he will do his utmost to ensure through the Association that it will continue in a positive manner.
Richard Shanahan was installed as a Director of the Association for 2013.
A big surprise was the bestowal of the “Rookie of the Year” award on Ileana Bogaert. This award is known as the Robbie Clark Award in memory of the first president of the Marco Island Area Association of Realtors. The recipient of this award must be in the business less than 3 years, demonstrate exceptional business skills, serve the community and advance the activities ofthe Association.
“Ileana has done all of this and more,” said George Percel Managing Broker of Prudential Florida Realty. “Ileana has been a hardworking and conscientious Realtor since becoming licensed in 2010.”
Ileana has been very active at the local, state and national level of the Realtor Organization. She has been responsible for the revival of the International Council locally and serves as the National Association of Realtors President’s Liaison to the Columbian Association of Realtors. Ileana recently accompanied Governor Rick Scott on a trade mission to this Latin American nation.
“It is a great honor to work with such dedicated people,” said Percel. He went on to say, “Gerry, one of the Island’s perennial Top Producers, and Richard are two individuals who set aside time and put their effort into making the real estate industry a better and more orderly environment.”
“Ileana is one of the new breed or Realtors whose global vision is sharp and who understand that as Realtors we serve a community that has been host to property owners from many foreign lands since its inception by the Mackle Brothers,” said Percel.
