Christmas Island Style, with the help of CJ’s on the Bay, presents its annual Canine Christmas Parade. The Canine Christmas Parade is a wonderful event which allows man and dog an opportunity to dress up in their favorite holiday costumes and strut their stuff with their fellow canines, while providing parade viewers with great enjoyment in seeing all the cuteness and creativity in each doggy’s costume. The parade has many return participants that never fail to thrill and newcomers are welcomed each year with great applause.
The parade will take place December 4, 2018 at the Esplanade from 5:30-7:30 PM. The parade walk occurs right in front of CJ’s on the Bay.
There is no entry fee and participation is open to any and all excited pooch who is ready to rock their favorite holiday gear or costume.
Dogs are required to remain on leashes at all times.
Emcee for the event, Stan Niemczyk will introduce us to all the furry participants and tell us some fun facts about each dog. Volunteer judges Wanda Burson, Melissa Scott and Neil Snyder have the tough task of selecting first, second and third place winners in two categories, “Most Festively Dressed” and “Most Creative of Funny.” Music will be provided by Larry D.
So come on out to the Esplanade to watch and enjoy the dogs and holiday spirit, or bring your furry friend in their favorite holiday costume and join Christmas Island Style for the Canine Christmas Parade.
The Esplanade is located at 740 N. Collier Blvd. Visit christmasislandstyle.com for information on the many free events Christmas Island Style brings to Marco Island.
