Paint On the Wild Side

2014-06-19-03.52.42If you’re not familiar with Heidi Saletko’s work, you’re in for a real treat. Saletko specializes in creating life-like animal masks out of discarded palm fronds and other garden foliage, suitable for hanging inside and out, and is ready to share her techniques in two summer workshops being held at the Marco Island Center for the Arts on August 21 and September 18 from 1-4pm.

The cost of each workshop is $55, including

all supplies.  Just pick an animal–lion, zebra, turtle, cockatoo, panther, monkey and more–and Saletko will walk you through the step-by-step procedure of creating an unusual work of art. Even the non-artist is guaranteed spectacular results—not to mention, just plain fun.

Need inspiration? Visit the Center’s gift shop to see Saletko’s work, including the latest addition to her animal collection:  brightly colored and neon fantasy fish (look for a special workshop coming soon). For more information, contact the Center at 239-394-4221 or visit the Center’s website:
