For two months, starting on May 11 at 5:30 PM, Art Quilters Unlimited will share with the public 72 pieces of quilt and fiber art at the Center for the Arts. It will be on display for two months until July 6, 2021. This is a very unique and unusual exhibit showcasing quilts and fiber art from 25 artists in traditional and contemporary styles from novices to experts.

The Center for the Arts will be a special place sharing the stories told by each quilter through their fabric and stitches. Some are pandemic inspired; others show their love of nature and animals or their interpretation of the world around them. The experience is truly “Out of the Ordinary”.

The show is being brought to Marco Island by Art Quilters Unlimited, a group of artists interested in sharing fiber art knowledge, supporting creativity through workshops, and expanding the appreciation of quilt and fiber art with the community.

The Center for the Arts was founded in 1969 by a dedicated group of artists and patrons. It has developed into a place to gather, to learn and become inspired. The program offerings include classes and workshops for adults and children. The Center for the Arts has become a showcase for local, national, and international artists in many disciplines. It is located at 1010 Winterberry Drive and open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  For more information, please visit www.marcoislandart.org.
