One Bag at a Time

The arrival of Spring on Marco Island means the annual St. Matthew’s House Food Drive is back in full gear at the Bartos Group of Premiere Plus Realty. St. Matthew’s House is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to change lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined, as well as to provide housing for the homeless and food for the needy.

With the help of residents of Marco Island and Naples, the staff at Bartos Group collect as much food as possible to donate every March. Given a difficult 2020, they have extended donation times into April in order to collect even more donations. All donations and proceeds go straight to St. Matthews House. These funds are then funneled back into the community to help those in need.

For the past six years, Bartos Group has gathered and donated thousands of bags from residents across the county. Many local grocery stores and restaurants have been kind enough to help by donating bags. Local businesses such as Premiere Plus Realty, Price Moving, and New American Funding have also participated to help support the cause.

Striving to meet the necessities of our community, Bartos Group asks for any helping hand that can be extended to make this Food Drive the most successful yet. If you would like to participate, fill up any bag with nonperishable food items and either drop off the bag at one of two designated locations, or simply schedule a pick-up. They have drop-off locations in both Naples and Marco Island.

If you are a business looking to join the effort, there are many ways to contribute to St. Matthew’s house apart from the donation of bags. Donating funds or committing to volunteer work can greatly help with the Food Drive. After a turbulent last 12 months, help take the burden off our neighbors and make the community a better place.

Drop-off locations: 950 N. Collier Boulevard, Suite 201, Marco Island OR 10681 Airport-Pulling Road, Suite 18, Naples Florida.

To schedule a pick-up call or text: 239-331-9229.
