President Rutledge expressed her gratitude for the privilege of following an accomplished and respected leader in Tarik Ayasun who was dubbed her “Wing Man” by DGE Hempstead for the coming year. She then turned her focus to the Club members by building on the Rotary International 2018-2019 theme, “Be the Inspiration” saying “You are the reason that I accept this new leadership role.  It is your passion and your commitment to serving others that ignites my flame, you are my inspiration.”  Then it was time to acknowledge her fellow Rotarians from the Marco Island Sunrise Club adding “I have come to know and respect Natalia Armstrong, Neil Snyder and Tom Wagor for their dedication to the motto of Rotary “Service Above Self.” The Sunrise Club is our neighbor and our partner in the Marco Island community.  We serve together.”  Pat then asked all Rotarians in attendance to stand as they were presented with a pin promoting this year’s theme of “Be the Inspiration.”

The program ended to a standing ovation and dancing to the sounds of Billy Dean and Dawn took center stage.
