The Naples Concert Band, or NCB, (www.NaplesConcertBand.org), a Naples’ institution and nonprofit organization that is dedicated to entertaining the community with enriching live musical performances in Cambier Park, is thrilled to announce that it will host a special Holiday Concert in the Park on Sunday, December 8 at 2 PM at Cambier Park in Naples.
Under the direction of Harris Lanzel and sponsored by Bill Banfield, the Naples Concert Band will provide the perfect music for this year’s Holiday Celebration at its December Concert in the Park. Craig Greusel will narrate the very poignant “A Soldiers Silent Night” in addition to singing Robert Sheldon’s “A Most Wonderful Christmas.” Jenny Bintliff will sing Michael Brown’s “Grown Up Christmas List” and Naples’ own Flute Cocktail will put their holiday touch on the concert with a custom arrangement of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” by John Stein. “Westminster Carol,” Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride,” Philip Sparke’s “Shalom,” and Paul Lavenders arrangement of “A Home Alone Christmas” are a few of the other selections that will enhance this year’s concert.
“There is no better way to kick off the holiday season than surrounded by friends and neighbors listening to timeless holiday music” said Harris Lanzel, Naples Concert Band’s Music Director and Conductor.
The Naples Concert Band is a non-profit organization dedicated to entertaining the community with enriching Sunday Concerts in the Park. Its 48th season includes powerful soloists and unforgettable music with seven regular concerts in the park and one special Saturday Concert in the Park.
Admission to all Naples Concert Band performances is free, with donations appreciated. Donations received at each concert help defray expenses and help with The Band’s Scholarship Fund, which has provided over $120,000 in scholarships to student band members since its inception in 1984.
