Sometimes, first aid isn’t a bandage, or CPR, or the Heimlich, or calling 911. Sometimes, first aid is YOU! Someone you know could be experiencing a mental illness or crisis. You can help them.
With one in four people experiencing a mental health issue, you are more likely to encounter someone-fellow worshiper, friend, family member, coworker, neighbor, or community member—in an emotional or mental crisis, than someone having a heart attack.
Come earn the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) five-step action plan, which offers initial help to people struggling with a mental illness and promotes more positive outcomes in crisis situations.
Sometimes, the best first aid is you!
Equip yourself with information. Save a life. Strengthen your community. Take the first step in becoming certified in MHFA.
Learn more about MHFA on Thursday, April 26th from 9 AM-11:30 AM at the Marco Lutheran Church, 525 N. Collier Boulevard, Marco Island.
