Marco Realtors Pay it Back to Panhandle Realtors

Although Hurricane Irma left Marco Islanders with devastation, the outpouring of kindness and generosity in the aftermath made a stronger, more lasting impression. All those thoughtful acts of kindness were etched deeply into the hearts of the Marco community. The Marco Island Area Association of Realtors Realtor Support Network (MIAAOR-RSN) recently held a joint After 5 to raise funds to help realtors devastated by Hurricane Michael in the Panhandle.

“When we were hit by Hurricane Irma, they came to our aid. It’s time for us to give back, and we have had an overwhelming response from the Realtor Support Network donating items for our auction. We have over 100% participation, and the turnout from the Marco real estate community tonight is tremendous,” exclaimed event organizer Dawn Norgren.

Generous donations from area realtors, bankers, lawyers, and local businesses provided an array of auction items for the evening’s bidders. The event exceeded the organizers’ expectations and raised over $3,200.
