You may have noticed some extra activity in the storefront right next door to the popular Sand Bar. Coastal Breeze News recently stopped by to meet the occupants, Marco Island Computer Service, owned by local resident Jason Penrod.
The business was originally started by Pete Bailey in 1985, before being purchased by Jason Penrod. Jason, who is originally from Ohio, has been coming to the island his entire life. He became full time on Marco about 14 years ago.
Fixing computers is second nature to Jason; he has been doing it since the 1980s. Many local businesses, as well as individuals, already call on Marco Island Computer service at the first sign of trouble, as well as for regular computer maintenance. Jason and his employees know how important our technology is to us. They pride themselves on having a fast turnaround on all of their repairs.
Typical calls for help include noisy fans and computer crashes. They can fix anything at the shop– whether it be a Mac or PC.
In addition to repairs, other services that Marco Island Computer Service offers are web and graphic design, photography/video, web hosting and domains, commercial/home WiFi and networking, and training. They also have an on-site photography studio.
An open house event is planned for Monday, May 1. Come meet the staff of Marco Island Computer Service during a live broadcast provided by WVOI 98.1 FM/1480 AM. There will be door prizes, games and later that evening a live DJ. Party platters and drinks will be provided by neighbors, the Sand Bar. Don’t miss this event- besides being a lot of fun, there will be special offers on services and products.
