The Marco Island Center for the Arts has announced its October exhibit in the main gallery will be a photography art show with the Digital Photography Club of Naples. For the second year, photographers will display their beautiful images at the Center for the Arts.
“These photographs are truly breathtaking,” said Hyla Crane, the Center for the Art’s executive director. It includes subjects as diverse as wildlife, street corners and landscape. “One can almostget lost in each picture,” concluded Crane.
The photography exhibit will be on display beginning October 5 and closing October 28, 2015. As with all exhibits in the main gallery, the Center will host a reception on the second Tuesday of the month. Café de Marco will cater the reception, which takes place on October 13, from 5:30 to 7 PM. The reception is free for Center for the Arts members, and open tothe public, with a nominal suggested donation of $5. At the reception, many of the artists will be introduced, and will be happy to discuss their art, photography and related topics with attendees. Photographs will be available for purchase.
The exhibit will be open Monday through Friday from 9 AM until 4 PM. The Marco Island Center for the Arts is open during those hours and there is no charge to visit.
The Digital PhotographyClub of Naples was founded in 2004 by Sonny Saunders and Bill Coakley. The startup group included 20 members meeting in a Naples restaurant. The club has grown to almost 300 members. It meets at Florida SouthWestern State College in Naples on the second Thursday of each month.
