Freestyle Martial Arts for Kids Offered by Defense Fitness Club, children will learn martial arts fitness and defensive techniques which will emphasize confidence building and skill development. This program is based on the 5 principles of martial arts: Body Relationships, Balance, Extension, Blending & Controlling the Mind; all by utilizing the best techniques of martial arts. Freestyle Martial Arts for Kids will is running on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Mackle Park. Beginners will train from 6:15 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and intermediates will train from 6:45 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Cost is $65 per month with a one-time, initial registration fee of $25 for new students. Pre-registration is required.

Open Gym Tumbling Learn how to perform cartwheels, round-offs, back bends, and much more. Open Gym for kids 6 – 13 years old is held on Mondays from 6:00 – 8:00pm at Mackle Park. Beginning in June. Walk-ins welcome!  Cost is $8/child.


CAMP MACKLE – SUMMER DAY CAMP come out for another great summer with the theme of “Where No Camp Has Gone Before.” We will travel through time exploring everything from the Dinosaur era to the discoveries of the future and beyond. Cost for Camp Mackle is $20/day, $80/week, or $675/full summer. Camp hours are 7:30am – 6:00pm beginning June 10th – August 19th. Call for registration details at 642-0575.

MICKYS Sailing Learn to sail with Marco Island Parks and Recreation. Available for ages 8 – 12 years from 9:00am to 12:00pm at Marco River Marina. You must be able to swim. $90/residents and $108/non-residents. Pre-registration is required. Please call Mackle Park for a schedule of summer dates.

PADI SCUBA Diver Certification The perfect solution for those who have always had the urge to become a certified diver but have had trouble finding the time to complete the course, join SCUBA Marco Dive Shop and cover the first three of five confined water sessions. For ages 10 years and older, $395/session. Please call Mackle Park for session dates.

Naples Kayaking Camp Learn the basics of kayaking off the shores of Isle of Capri, each week campers will be taught kayaking skills such as paddle signals, forward strokes, and stopping. Safety instruction and kayaking games will also be included. Pre-registration is required. Available for ages 10 – 16 years from 10:00am – 2:00pm at Capri Fish House Restaurant on Isle of Capri, cost is $165/resident and $198/non-resident.

H20 Camp: Extreme Water Sports Water Ski and Wakeboard Charters will be providing a comprehensive extreme water sports camp to include wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, and skim boarding instruction. Students will learn the fundamentals of each sport and then show off their skills at the end of the week. Pre-registration is required. Available for ages 8 – 17 years, from 9:00am – 12:00pm at South Beach, cost range from $50 – $200 pending class options.

Paddle Board Lessons What’s SUP?, SUP, or Stand-Up Paddle Boarding, is the latest craze to hit the waters and this summer you have the opportunity to learn from the best in the area. Join the crew of Paddle Fitness LLC for a 90 minute lesson on the sport of paddle boarding. No prior experience necessary. Pre-registration is required. Available for ages 8 years and older, 9:00 – 10:30am, cost is $30/resident and $36/non-resident.


Jewelry Making Camp Get into the basics of beading necklaces, bracelets, and earrings. You will learn about the different gemstones, crystals and findings that make-up our beautiful jewelry that you take home. All materials will be provided. Pre-registration is required. Available for ages 8 years and older, 9:00am – 11:00am at the Marco Island Racquet Center, cost is $90/resident and $96/non-resident.

Theater Camp Want to learn more in the field of drama and have the opportunity to be a part of a live production? Join our theater camp with Ms. Gina Sisbarro at the Marco Players Theater this summer! You will learn theater lingo, stage presence, characterization, and voice levels. Please bring a packed lunch. All participants must be able to read and memorize lines. No prior experience necessary. Pre-registration is required. Please call Mackle Park at 642-0575 for dates, times, and cost.

Green Thumb Gardening Camp We will begin our week with creating our own concrete, self-contained, garden bowls for us to plant in and take home at the end of the week. We will study the larvae, caterpillar and butterfly cycles. Garden Camp will center around planting seeds and proper soil and fertilizer ratios for our self-contained gardens. We will plant seeds and edible plants and flowers for human consumption. There will be a nature walk and talks of Florida Native Plants and why we grow these plants here in our area. Pre-registration is required. Camp is available for ages 7 years and older, July 18 – 22, from 9am – 11:30am at Mackle Park.

Open Gym Tumbling Learn how to do cartwheels, back hand springs, round offs, and so much more. This is an open tumbling class for all elementary through middle school aged children. No pre-registration is needed. Tumbling meets at Mackle Park Monday evenings beginning in June from 6:00 – 8:00pm. $8/walk-in, available for ages 5 and up.


British Soccer Camp This one week camp will teach soccer drills such as; moves, dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, heading, tackling and defending from certified UK soccer coaches. Volleyball Camp Volleyball Camp will help beginners to advanced participants with the fundamental skills of volleyball. Drills include: passing, digging, setting, and serving. Pre-registration is required. Camp will be held from July 5 – 8 for ages 9 – 14years, cost is $60/resident and $72/non-resident, time is from 9am – 12pm at Mackle Park.

TEEN PROGRAMS, Ages 12 – 18yrs

Teen Trips – all teen trips are available for incoming 6th graders and up. The cost for the trip includes transportation from Mackle Park to the theme park and home, and the cost for entrance fee. Canasta Come meld with us on Tuesday afternoons from 12:30 – 3:30pm at the Marco Island Racquet Center from May 31 – August 30. This is a free, social program where you can enjoy the game of Canasta and make new Island friends.

Island Knitters All knitters are welcome, expert to novice, every Wednesday from 12:30 – 3:30pm at the Marco Island Racquet Center from June 1 – August 31. Join us to share your stitches and your stories. Free of charge, walk-ins welcome!

Mah Jongg Mah Jongg is held every Thursday from 12:30 – 3:30pm at the Marco Island Racquet Center from June 2 – September 1. Come join the fun and make new friends. Walk-ins welcomed, free of charge.

Duplicate Bridge If you play Bridge join us every Friday at the Marco Island Racquet Center from June 3 – September 2 times from 12:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m.  Duplicate Bridge is another way to meet new friends on Marco! Reservations are required. Call Peachy at 642-6957 for available spaces.


Be Fit Over 50 continues on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 7:45 a.m. The fee is $40 for the month of June and $6/class for the months of July, August, and September ONLY. Participants will enjoy the benefits of increased strength, muscle tone and flexibility. This weight-bearing exercise program will help combat osteoporosis and improve bone density.

Jazz It Up Cardio is back by popular demand. Jazz It Up Cardio will be offered Saturday mornings from 7:45am – 9:00am. Cost is $5 for walk-in or $40 for a 9 session punch card. Instructor Bobbie LeCroy-Lansdown will help you incorporate cardiovascular moves, abdominal work, and free weights for a workout that is heart-pumping and sure to please.

Adventure Boot Camp Women of all fitness levels, shapes, sizes and ages are gaining great results with Adventure Boot Camp! You can too! Are you looking for a jump-start to your fitness program? This Adventure is for you! Whether you are a beginner, an avid fitness enthusiast or just tired of the same routine, come try this whole new approach to exercise.
