The lifeblood of a city is the prudent management of its financial resources. Erik Brechnitz served the city of Decatur, Illinois, as a city council member and later as mayor. Our council was active, informed, and effective during his terms of office. He is man of high intellect. Erik’s superior knowledge of and experience with municipal finance has been of great value to our city. Erik served as a trustee of Millikin University in Decatur and has provided valuable advice to the college in the management of its internal finances and endowment funds.
I am a 45 year resident of Decatur, and my law practice has provided me with many occasions to work with Erik. He is a well respected investment adviser. I hope the residents of Marco Island will be fortunate enough to elect Erik as one of their city council members.
