Help Save A Life!

In an emergency, after calling 911, do you know how to administer CPR? Wouldn’t it be great if there were several people in any given restaurant with the ability to help save a life if someone was choking? Or, if one in ten enjoying a day at the beach knew CPR if someone was drowning? Many businesses and condominiums have Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs), when used during cardiac arrest AED’s can dramatically improve survival rates. Would you know how to use an AED if the need arose? When every second counts, these are critical life-saving techniques and they’re easy to learn no matter what your age.

CBN_A22-5The Marco Island Fire Rescue Foundation is sponsoring free CPR/AED

courses in conjunction with the City of Marco Island. The courses are presented by the Marco Island Fire Rescue Department and are open to all island residents. The certification is good for two years at which time the AHA suggest a recertification class be taken to update changes that are made to the protocol.
