Eighty or so wine enthusiasts gathered at CJ’s on the Bay on Sunday night to celebrate the tenth Annual “Glory of the Grape” event. This year’s soiree featured wines of South America, and included Cabernet Sauvignons, Malbecs, Sauvignon Blancs and assorted other reds and whites. Six serving tables were loaded with “heavy” hors d’oeuvres, featuring cheeses, puffs, seafood combinations, strawberries with a chocolate fountain and the ever-popular lamb chops.

Wagor auctioned off a “Stay-cation” at the Marriott, a Chamber-maids dinner (prepared and served by the Chamber of Commerce staff of three!), a full year of Chamber events, a private wine tasting at the winner’s home, a huge box of goodies, and a golf outing at the Golf Club at Fiddlers. Husband and wife lawyers Hodge & Snyder took home most of the auction items. Thirty eight sponsors backed this very popular event, and CJ’s provided its usual extraordinary spread.
