Tibetan Singing Bowls are used in yoga, meditation, sound healing and chakra balancing. Tibetan bowls emit a very pure tone. Striking the side of the bowl with a wooden mallet produces the tone. By running the mallet around the bowl with a slight pressure, a pure sound is emitted. When this happens the bowl is said to sing thus its name, Tibetan singing bowl. The bowls create a

pulsating tone that feels relaxing.

As part of the ceremony, Dr. Dream and his Band of Angels offered the participants bits of raw chocolates and drops of special oil blends. The chocolate was for relaxation, while the exotic scent enhanced the meditative state. The oil blends came in such aromas as wild orange, lavender, wintergreen and frankincense.

Though not a scientific fact, there are said to be seven main chakras in our body. According to the ancient Indian system of healing, chakras are the energy centers in our bodies. If you’re feeling sluggish, be it physically or emotionally, it’s possible that one or more of your chakras are blocked. The tone from the Tibetan singing bowls has been known to

naturally unlock/balance one’s chakra.

The participants sat in meditative silence, as the side of the bowl was gently struck delivering its own musical pitch. For the root chakra the pitch is musical note C and for the crown chakra, pitch is B. Karen Dumontier, a participant, felt a sense of calm when she heard the musical note E, for the solar plexus.

For the grand finale, all 111 bowls sang in unison. To learn more of Dr. Dream and his Band of Angels, tour of love events, visit his website at:
