Florida Bay Builders, Inc. announced that on September 26th, 2015 they were awarded three prestigious Sand Dollar Awards from the Collier Building Industry Association. The awards were announced at their annual gala held at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort at Tiburon in Naples. The Sand Dollar Awards honored Florida Bay Builders’ model home, The Winterberry, located at 1136 Winterberry Drive on Marco Island.

The awards received were in the categories for Best Outdoor Living Area, Best Specialty Feature, and Best Landscape Design. Florida Bay Builders worked with Kriel Dilworth Design, Inc. on the design of both the outdoor living area, and the specialty feature; the roofline design modelled after the West Indies architecture the Deltona Group had envisioned for Marco Island in the early 1960’s.

“The true allure of this model is its extended outdoor living space,” said Greg Fishell, president of Florida Bay Builders. “Overlooking the iconic Marco Island canals, the Winterberry really takes advantage of Florida’s comfortable year-round weather and is suited for both large social gatherings and quiet evenings with the family.”

The landscape design was made possible with the help of S. Mendoza Complete Lawn Care, who helped achieve the balance of exotic and native foliage around the Model. Over twenty different kinds of flora were incorporated into the unique design, making it a truly spectacular display year-round.

The Winterberry Model is open daily from 10-4pm thanks to David Werning and his team of realtors who are available for showings; no appointment necessary. Stop by for a formal tour or just take a look around and see what the home has to offer. It is currently listed for $2.295 million with a lease-back option fully-furnished by Robb and Stucky. The Winterberry Model can also be reproduced on your own lot in Southwest Florida for just under $1.29 million. For more information please call Florida Bay Builders at (239) 642-5300 or visit
