First National Bank of the Gulf Coast announced today that $60,000.00 was raised at their Fourth Annual Charity Golf Tournament held at Hideout Golf Club in October. The proceeds will be split evenly between Naples Equestrian Challenge (NEC) and Special Needs Children’s Fund of Collier County.

“We are delighted with the success of this year’s tournament. The resounding results would not have been possible if not for the hard work and dedication of our bank employees. The members of our banking family worked tirelessly to secure sponsorships, raffle prizes and golfers to help raise money for these two wonderful charities. We are also so grateful to all of the businesses and individuals which supported and participated in our tournament. The impact and contribution of so many will make a much needed difference to both of these causes,” said President Garrett Richter.

Last year’s tournament resulted in proceeds over $57,000 for Eden Autism Services Florida and Voice for Kids of Southwest Florida. In 2010, the tournament generated $37,000 for Youth Haven and Foster Care Council of Southwest Florida. The inaugural year of the tournament, which was 2009, brought in $21,000 for the Ricky King Fund and Laces of Love. “We are very proud of the fact that we have been able to raise $175,000 since we began this annual event. It has us looking forward to 2013 to make sure we’re able to continue this growing trend,” said Marketing Director Heather Tice.

A ceremonial check presentation for the charities took place at the Bank’s office at 3580 Pine Ridge Road in Naples on December 19, 2012. Kim Minarich and Bill Swartz accepted the check on behalf of Naples Equestrian Challenge and Walter Schacht accepted the check on behalf of Special Needs Children’s Fund of Collier County.

First National Bank of the Gulf Coast will hold their Fifth Annual Charity Golf Tournament in 2013. No selection has yet been made regarding the recipient charities, date, or venue. For more information regarding the tournament, please contact Heather Tice at 239-325-3750 or
