The Marco Island Center for the Arts will host the Second Annual Festival of Trees, December 1 through 3, 2015. Islander Dave Rice will chair the event, which will kick off from 10 AM-12 PM on December 1.
During the Festival of Trees, the Center for the Art’s main galleries will be transformed into a beautiful winter wonderland, featuring a unique variety of decorated trees. The display will be open for public viewing December 2ndand 3rd from noon until 7 PM.
Bring your children and grandchildren to the festival’s Family Night on December 2 from 5-7 PM. Family Night is a highlight of the Festival of Trees because of a special visit from Santa Claus.
Local artists, businesses, organizations, groups and individuals provide the holiday trees. Many of these special trees will be available for silent auction bidding.
Adding to the holiday spirit, the Center for the Arts will be filled with works of the Center’s Clay Guild members, event co-sponsors. Just like Santa’s elves, Clay Guild members work throughout the year to create an assortment of decorative pieces, plates, trays, mugs and pots. Their distinctive works will be available for sale and make excellent one-of-a-kind holiday gifts.
Admission to the exhibit is only $5 per person. Admission and silent auction proceeds benefit the Center’s art education programs.
