Dr. Bansal to Speak About Solo Flight Around-the-World

The International Mens Club of America (IMCA), Naples, Florida, is pleased to announce guest speaker Ravi K. Bansal, Ph.D. Dr. Bansal will be the guest speaker at the monthly luncheon speaker series on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, from 11:15 AM- 2 PM.  

Dr. Bansal is a retired entrepreneur, passionate owner and pilot of a Cessna 400 aircraft. He will share the story of his round-the-world solo flight adventure completed between July 4th- August 20th, 2017. This was a charity flight to promote cancer awareness and to raise funds for the Rotary Ambala Cancer Hospital, India. Dr. Bansal is also the first Asian to complete this flight in a single engine plane.

Ravi Kumar Bansal was born in Ambala, India, and migrated to the US in 1970. He earned his Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and his Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology. In 1987, Dr. Bansal founded AirSep Corporation, a Buffalo, NY-based medical oxygen therapy equipment manufacturer and distributor, where he also served as Chairman of the Board and CEO. In 2014 Ravi retired and sold the company.

The IMCA is actively involved in social and cultural events, current national and international affairs and is not for profit. As a group it has no affiliation with, nor receive guidance from, any political, religious or educational group. IMCA activities are exceptionally varied and most are open to member’s spouses or other guests. Each one is under the active direction of a responsible IMCA Board Member. Activities include but are not limited to:

Monthly Luncheon and Speaker Series: Featuring a distinguished guest speaker with recognized expertise in a timely topic of national or international importance.

Stammtisch: A monthly event of a relaxed conversation over dinner and drinks at one of Naples excellent restaurants.

Tuesday Club: A very lively, informal discussion of today’s most pressing national and international issues while strengthening bonds of friendship

Book Club: Members choose a book each month of relevance and meet to discuss. 

Nature Club: Tours arranged for club members to see the spectacular sites of nature in Southern Florida

Special Events: Focusing on variety of social, cultural and educational activities, with one event generally occurring each month.
