TO YOUR HEALTH
C. Scott Campbell
As a local resident, it’s to my benefit to become actively involved in civic organizations. It is part of my nature to become engaged in the community and build relationships.
As the CEO of Physicians Regional- Collier Boulevard, these civic affiliations also enable me to listen and better understand the priorities of the community at large.
Every business leader and every citizen has the opportunity to take a small piece of community ownership through volunteerism. The very root of a community’s success is found in their spirit of volunteerism—all of us pulling together to build a healthier community.
As a Board Member of the Greater Marco YMCA, I am proud help to support the Y’s focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The YMCA has a long endearing history of Christian service as seen in their focus on helping people in their personal realm of wellness—spirit, mind, and body.
By specifically supporting the Greater Marco YMCA, I’m connecting with the families of the community we service.
My association with the Y also represents a natural hand-in-glove relationship between what’s important to Physicians Regional-Collier Boulevard as well as what’s important to me as an individual. We are servants to the citizens of Marco Island.
The Greater Marco Family YMCA is not only a place where the whole family can have fun and get fit, it’s a place to become connected and build friendships. As a hub of the Greater Marco community, the Greater Marco Family YMCA offers family-friendly health and wellness programs for all ages.
These programs enable kids to realize their potential, prepare teens for college, offer ways for families to have fun together, prepare people for employment, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster a nationwide service ethic.
Marco Island is also fortunate to host a YMCA Family Center with a state-of-the-art wellness center, outdoor pool, aerobics room, spinning studio, and gymnasium.
By nurturing the potential of every child and teen, improving the nation’s health and well-being, and supporting and serving our neighbors, the Y ensures that everyone has the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected and secure.
According to Leslie Drake, Community Development Director, “The YMCA is a volunteer-led and volunteer-driven organization. Our volunteers and corporate sponsors, such as Physicians Regional- Collier Boulevard, are critical to bringing about meaningful change in our community. We would not be here without the support of our amazing volunteers.”
What a blessing it is for me to be a servant leader—to work alongside the great leadership of the YMCA as well as my fellow members of the Y Board. All of us are working together to make a positive imprint on the lives of Marco citizens.
To get involved in the Greater Marco YMCA, please call Leslie Drake at 394- 3144, ext. 205.
