Calusa Garden Club Displays Floral Designs For National Garden Week

For National Garden Week, June 3-9, Calusa Garden Club donated floral designs made by their members to Marco Island public spaces for display.

Five Marco Island businesses and organizations participated in the weeklong event, chaired by Garden Club member Connie Lowery. They were Marco Island Civic Association, Marco Island City Hall, Mutual of Omaha Bank, Marco Island YMCA and the Marco Island Branch of the Collier County Public Library.

Calusa Garden Club members Opi DeFalco, Connie Lowery, Sue Oldershaw, Lindy Kowalczyk, Sara Wolf and Marianne Foley purchased the flowers and containers for the floral designs, designed the arrangements, and then placed them in the public spaces that chairperson Connie Lowery had worked with for the event. The photos show the designers placing their designs at the participating organizations that helped the Calusa Garden Club publicize National Garden Week.
