Experience Paris in Marco Island as the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts (MIFA) presents the Left Bank Art Fest at the Esplanade. Free to the public, this one day event will take place on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 from 10am to 4pm along the waterfront and elsewhere at the Esplanade, 800 N Collier Boulevard, Marco Island.
Three categories of artists will be presented: Youth (children and students through high school senior), Amateur and Professional. Original paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber arts and printmaking are eligible. No crafts. Artists interested in being part of this event should fill out the form (download from the MIFA website: www.marcoarts.org), and mail it with the appropriate fee and 3 photos of their work (if you’re an artist who has not exhibited in a previous Left Bank Art Fest) to MIFA, PO Box 1091, Marco Island FL 34146 by April 1st, 2010..
“This event is just for fun,” said Carol Kinkead, chairperson of the event. “We encourage Sunday painters and students to apply. The only charge will be the entry fee.” Space will be on a first come first served basis. Tents are not encouraged due to limited space availability.
Entry fees range from $20 for Youth to $50 for Amateurs or Professionals, and are reduced by $10 for members of the Marco Island Foundation for the Arts. Non-member Artists may save $10 by joining the Foundation when they submit their entry form.
