BUSINESS BRIEF: Sunshine Auto shines

By Coastal Breeze News Staff

Have you ever taken your car, spitting and coughing, into a repair shop and felt like you were being robbed at gunpoint by the time you left? “Not at Sunshine Auto,” says the new owner Bobby Stolinas. In fact, as the new owner, Bobby has revamped the auto shop and changed the entire business philosophy of Sunshine Auto. “I am hoping to spread the word through personal referrals. Word of mouth is the best advertising. If a customer leaves happy and is confident we got the job done at a fair and honest price, they will refer us to their family and friends.” Bobby, originally from Wisconsin, moved to the area in 2000 and has worked in the industry ever since.

Sunshine Auto is a little off the beaten path at the corner of SR-92 (San Marco Road) and US-41, next to Lagoona Grille and the new Gator Adventures. “We make it worth

the customer’s while to come to Sunshine Auto,” Bobby says. “How? By offering a 100% parts and labor guarantee, and by using premium auto parts in the jobs we do. There are repair shops paying their mechanics commission on the work they do. That means the mechanic has a vested interest in getting you to spend as much money as possible whether the work needs to be done or not. We pay honest hourly wages and our mechanics prefer our ‘customer comes first’ attitude.”

Sunshine Auto is Florida state-licensed, not just Collier County. The usual batteries, brakes and tires are offered as well as many other services such as: a basic oil change, including a 22 point inspection-$29.95; a coolant flush-$49.95; a fuel induction cleaning-$79.95. “Our labor rate is $60.00 an hour, much lower than other shops would charge!”

You can find Bobby at Sunshine Auto, 239/394-9001, 20020 Tamiami Trail East. “Oh, did we mention we offer free estimates, too.”
