Bob Lowe. Submitted

Bob Lowe. Submitted

If you’ve spent any time at all on Marco Island you have run across Bob Lowe, a Marco “Original”. Bob has waited on many a table not only at current restaurants, but also some that are just fleeting historical memories. Bob not only served eager diners; he entertained them cheerfully and endlessly. Most recently he was happily ensconced at the counter at Paradise Seafood.

Now there is an opportunity to do something for Bob. Unfortunately Bob is suffering from several bone marrow diseases, and is currently undergoing treatment at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa and the Naples Cancer Center. On Thursday, April 21, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at CJ’s on The Bay in the Esplanade, there will be a benefit for Bob – complete with free entertainment.  As part of the Gala a number of local businesses are contributing items for a silent auction:  Paradise Seafood, The Hilton, Stan’s Idle Hour, Rookies, DaVinci’s, The Brewery, Kretch’s, Cedar Bay Marina, Skin Renewal and Key West Express are all participating. The number of contributors shows the esteem in which Bob is held.

Join neighbors and friends to help a most beloved guy. Mark the date: April 21, 5:00 p.m.
