As both a student and coach, I have always preferred having to deal with as few discomforts and distractions as possible in my teaching environment.
For instance, if I am studying for a test or learning to play a new song on my guitar, I prefer to be in a quiet, climatically comfortable area which allows me to really focus and concentrate on the task at hand.
The same is true for learning new techniques and skills in the sport of pickleball. Being in a quiet and climatically comfortable area provides a more suitable environment in which to focus, concentrate, and learn.
Here in Southwest Florida, while the temperature and humidity may be high, we are blessed with always having a nice gentle tropical breeze. If you can create a situation where you are not having to be in the direct blazing sun, it is actually a quite pleasant and comfortable environment for all types of activities.
There are several things about the Pickleball Academy of Southwest Florida at East Naples Community Park that make it a very special place. It is the official pickleball capital of the world sporting 64 courts. It is the home of the U.S. Open Pickleball Championships.
The Academy offers clinics, private, semiprivate, and group lessons, as well as destination training camps which are taught by some of the best instructors in the game. Plus, East Naples Community Park now has a beautiful newly renovated shaded structure covering the Academies five teaching courts!
In addition to being used as the Academy Teaching Courts, the structure is also utilized for daily recreational play, as well as being converted into a 1,100-seat stadium featuring the Zing Zang Championship Court for the U.S. Open.
So, if you have never paid a visit to the Pickleball Academy of Southwest Florida at East Naples Community Park, come on down and check out all of the fun people and activities taking place on a daily basis and “Beat The Heat,” playing under our new blue covered courts.
