Bald Eagle Road Closure & Detour June 6th

Visit the link below to read this on our website.

BALD EAGLE DR is scheduled for a 1-day Road Closure and Detour on MONDAY JUNE 6th, 7am to 7pm
Between Fourwinds Ave and Yellowbird St. This road closure is required to replace a large diameter Storm Drain that was in conflict with the sewer line being installed.

The work zone will include both lanes of Bald Eagle Dr. and part of the swale on the both sides. It would not be safe to try to flag traffic around this area. Sidewalks should remain open in both directions. Construction will begin at 7am and is expected to be completed by 7pm.

Access by local traffic to residences, side-streets and businesses will be maintained; however, a 1-block detour will be set up and residents may need to go around the barricades or follow the detour to get to their property. Notices to local residents will be handed out.

This road closure is IN ADDITION TO the current One-Lane traffic around the construction zone on Bald Eagle Dr.

The contractor will set up barricades and Detour signs on Bald Eagle.

  • Southbound Bald Eagle traffic will be detoured east at Yellowbird, with through traffic directed east 1 block to Jamaica, then south 1 block to Fourwinds, then west 1 block.
  • Northbound Bald Eagle traffic will be detoured east at Fourwinds, with through traffic directed east 1 block to Jamaica, then north 1 block to Yellowbird, then west 1 block.

Delays on Bald Eagle should be expected especially between 10am and 2pm.

Message boards and warning signs will be posted to give advanced notice to the public. All residents are encouraged to use alternate routes (see below) or allow extra time when using Bald Eagle Dr.

Suggested Alternate Routes:
During the Bald Eagle Dr Road Closure on MONDAY MAY 6th, the suggested alternate routes for “through-traffic” would be:

  • SOUTHBOUND – Use Collier Blvd to San Marco Rd to Bald Eagle.
  • NORTHBOUND – Use San Marco to Collier Blvd to Bald Eagle.
