Renowned trumpet player Bob Zottola returns to the Marco Island Center for the Arts on June 15. Zottola performed to a sellout crowd early this year, and rightfully so. He has performed with the Maynard Ferguson and Duke Ellington bands and has accompanied such stars as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee and Mel Tormé.
Hyla Crane, the Center’s executive director, says Zottola is one of the most exciting entertainers the Center has had. According to Crane, “Everyone will love this show.”
Zottola will be performing with his group, Jazz Sympatico. As the name implies, these jazz musicians involve a high degree of communication among themselves and the audience. The Center will be transformed into a Jazz Cabaret as Zottola and hisband expand their offerings in this repeat visit to the Center. Dancing will be encouraged.
With a repertoire of traditional jazz, swing, classic jazz and The Great American Song Book, the evening will be memorable. The performance will be from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Tickets are only $25, and are available on a first come, first served basis.
Tickets for the evening may be obtained by visiting the Marco Island Center for the Arts at 1010 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island from 9 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, by calling the Center at 239-394-4221 or by visiting the Center’s website at www.marcoislandart.org.
